POLICY
Short version: I collect what you type into the swap form, I use it to organise a swap, and I don't sell it to anyone. The long version is below.
On this page
WHAT I COLLECT
Only what you give me, plus the basics any website records:
- your name, email address and mobile number;
- the bike you ride, roughly where you are, and what you say about it;
- anything else you choose to send by email or message;
- standard technical information such as browser type and approximate location, collected by the hosting provider.
If you want to ride with me then I'll ask to see a redacted version of your licence to prove you have a full motorcycle licence with no restrictions or limitations. I'll also ask to see a redacted version of your insurance policy to prove that I'll be covered when riding your bike. When you book in you'll also be able to see mine to confirm you're covered too!
WHY I COLLECT IT
To reply to you, work out whether a swap makes sense, arrange a time and place, and stay in touch about it. If you ask to be kept in mind for later, I'll keep your details on the list until you tell me otherwise.
FILMING AND YOUR IMAGE
Swaps are filmed, and the footage, including your voice, your riding and your motorcycle, is published on YouTube and social media. We agree that before we ride, not after.
STORAGE AND SECURITY
Your details sit in password-protected accounts that only I use. No system is perfect, but I keep the number of places your information lives as small as possible, and I delete requests I'm never going to act on.
ACCESS, CORRECTION, DELETION
Ask me what I hold about you and I'll tell you. Ask me to fix it and I'll fix it. Ask me to delete it and I will, other than footage already published with your agreement.
COMPLAINTS AND CONTACT
Email rob@motoswinger.com and I'll come back to you within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
